Re: Virtualization beginer
You cannot run HP-UX on a BL460c!
Do you have any other hardware?
PA-RISC or Itanium based?
This is what you need to run HP-UX.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Virtualization beginer
If you have a BL460c, then lucky you - you will be able to run the Planet's most advanced Virtualization Platforms. And most are FREE!
My suggestion -- get Ubuntu 10.10 or CentOS 5.5 running.
Then you'll have a choice of which HyperVisor to run - Xen, vBox, ProxMox, vMware Server 1.0 or 2.0 or even KVM.
If you wan to go ESXi -- you can also do that.. there should be a version specific and prebuilt for the HP Proliants.
Once you have a Virtualization platform set up -- Run, Test, Explore any Windows, FreBSD, DOS, Solaris and of course Linux disrros easily -- with some even available as a ready to bbot/run virtualmachine image straight from their "marketplaces"
Enjoy.. welcome to the new IT order.
