Virus Protection
We use HP UX as an e-mail server for 1100 of our staff. Staff with PC's and MAC's sometimes get viruses from incoming e-mail and or attachments. Is there any way I can set the HP UX e-mail server to clean e-mails and attachments before our staff retrieves their mail?
Thanks

Re: Virus Protection
Not really , as the same would actually imply scanning all the files being transmitted for the set signature pattern and then filtering it out with a program or set of programs written .However there are standard set of anti virus server version availble to acheive this and are useful if updated with latest signatures at small intervals.

Re: Virus Protection
Sandy:
Interscan from Trend Micro http://www.antivirus.com/products/isvw/ does e-mail content scanning but does not run on HPUX. You could set up a small linux box and install the linux version on it to scrub your e-mails before your users have access to it.

nothing wrong with me that a few lines of code cannot fix!
