vlan configurations on MC/ServiceGuard
I need to know how to configure the cluster for nodes that are situated on diffrent vlan's.
The failover node has got two cards and configured for the correct vlan's. On one of the nodes it can access the failover node thru its configured vlan, on the other node it can do the same. My question is that since all nodes participate in the same cluster how will service guard know how to deal with hostname entry,s that are the same for multiple IP's.
Please help!!!
Regards
Daniel

Re: vlan configurations on MC/ServiceGuard
Hi, Daniel!
If you configure HP-UX VLANs on 11.11 then you see these just like additional interfaces (e.g. in lanscan). In general they can be used with SG 11.14 just like any other supported interface.
You should be able to find details in the "Using HP-UX VLANs" manual:
http://docs.hp.com/hpux/onlinedocs/T1453-90001/T1453-90001.html
Especially the section "Using VLANs with MC/ServiceGuard".
Best regards...
Dietmar.
