VLANS and APA
Does anyone know if VLANS work over APA, or if its even planned to be in the product. I read a ITRC post from 2001 where HP was looking for Beta users and one of the features was supposed to be VLANS over aggregates.
Thanks for you help.

Re: VLANS and APA
Hi Steve,
I've taken this quote for the 11i Lan Products patch PHNE_28923 released in June this year :
"APA over VLANs are not supported. APA must not acquire a port that is a virtual interface."
so it appears not. There was mention of this feature being available as a furture vlan featue, see page 11 of the following document :
http://www.hp.com/products1/unixserverconnectivity/adapters/ethernet/infolibrary/VLAN_wp.pdf
Cheers,
James.

Re: VLANS and APA
Thanks for the info James. Now lets take this a step further. Any HP folks reading this that can tell us when the VLAN with APA will be released? There are other OS vendors that have had this ability for a long time. No pressure ;-)
Thanks
Steve
