VMGuest OS install

I am unable to install HPUX 11.23 on a VM Guest. I get to the HP-UX install screen and choose media and advances install when I click ok I get the following message.

ERROR: parser cannot open file: /var/opt/ignite/INDEX: No such file or
directory (errno = 2)
ERROR: net_cfg_prep: Problems were encountered while parsing configuration
file: "/var/opt/ignite/INDEX". See the messages above for details.
Using instl_adm with the -T and/or -D options on the server may help
isolate the problem. (See instl_adm(1M) and instl_adm(4) man pages.)

* Loading configuration user interface, please wait...
ERROR: Tar: blocksize = 0; broken pipe?
ERROR: File: /usr/ccs not found.
ERROR: File: /usr/dt/lib/hpux32/libDtHelp.so.1 not found.
ERROR: File: /usr/dt/lib/hpux32/libDtSvc.so.1 not found.
ERROR: File: /usr/dt/lib/hpux32/libtt.so.1 not found.
ERROR: File: /usr/lib/hpux32/libCsup.so not found.
... other files

it askes
loadfile command failed, retry? ([y]/n):

If I say Y it fails again if N it reboots.

Any ideas?

Hi,

Could you tell us how do you install the VM Guest? If you are using the Ignite-UX Golden Image, have you configured the Ignite-UX?

I am tring to install from DVD.
I have configured the DVD drive on the guest using:

hpvmmodify -P vmg1 -a dvd:scsi::disk:/dev/rdsk/c0t0d0

Hi,

The error message appears very similar like installation from Golden Image.

Have you try using other media? Does the result same?
