Re: vmunix: NFS lookup failed for server FS01_CORP: RPC: Remote system error

Hi,

Is FS01_CORP the name of your local system or of a remote system which acts as an NFS server for your machine?

Can you ping FS01_CORP? If so, what is the output of "rpcinfo -p FS01_CORP". Also, can you send the output/contents of "showmount -a" and "/etc/mnttab"?

Regards,

Hey

See if portmapper is running in the remote system.

IF not..then start..even if it running try stopping and starting..

Also check the /etc/rpc file...

It should have entry for mountd, lockd

FS01_CORP is a NT Server.
I mounted a NT filesystem on my HP server.
I am able to ping and do a NSLOOKUP on the
NT Server.
I don't have any problem accessing the NT share on my HP server.

thx
