vmunix: vxfs: mesg 001: vx_nospace

Hi, I've this problem in 1 of my HPUX 11.00 system:

vmunix: vxfs: mesg 001: vx_nospace - /dev/vg01/myfs1 file system full (1 block extent)

I know the file system is full, but what is the "1 block extent" means?
Thanks.

Someone tried to write an extra 1 block to your filesystem (over its capacity) and thus you get the file system full message. Remember lvols are in extents (usually 4MB each).

Im from Palmerston North, New Zealand, but somehow ended up in London...
