Volume Group Restore

Hello,
After change cracked hard disk on new empty disk and vgcfgrestore -> vgchange be completed successfully, pvdisplay return information what 'used PE = used PE cracked disk'.
How refresh information?

try: vgscan

it might recognize your newly built vols

you might also initialize pv
with pvcreate -f (gets rid of old info
on the pv)

Are there additional disks in the VG?
Would this new disk be bigger than the other disks in the VG?

If this is the only disk in the VG, you may need to vgremove the VG and then recreate the VG. If not the only the disk, you sure there are not the same size. The vgcfgretore is working off saved info that was before the new disk. You may need to vgreduce that disk out of the VG and then vgextend back to the new disk.
