Vpar error in dmesg

Hi,

I found this error in dmesg.
"VPAR: sba_info - rc=0 base=0xffffff8320000000 shared=1 cnt=2"

What does it mean. Is it relard to any of the System Bus Adapters? If so how do I diagnose?

Re: Vpar error in dmesg

Hi,

I don't think it's an error, it's just what it says, an info (sba_info) ;)
sba is the system bus adapter:

System, Cells, SBA, LBA, Devices and Relationships

http://www.docs.hp.com/en/T1335-90083/ch06s02.html

The sba_info so showed is not so human readable and I cannot help you about the exact meaning. Anyway if I try to interpret it I'd say cnt=2 means 2 lba on the same sba.

In any cases I think you can just ignore it.

Hope this helps you.

Best regards,
Fabio
