vPar granularity

If you have a dual core CPU (thinking about upcoming montecitos), can you have a vPar with just 1 CPU core or does it require both cores?

Thanks. (I am thinking about non-production stuff here where performance isn't that important).

Re: vPar granularity

you can use just one of the cpu's in a dual cpu core. i.e. if needed you could create two vpars, each one using one of the cpus in a dual core cpu

Re: vPar granularity

Shalome,

The basic requirement for a vpar, is a cpu, which can be dual core, a network connection, and disk to boot off of.
