VPar not booting after following same procedure on another 6 VPars.
Hi All
We are currently migrating from an old 3PAR to a new 3PAR, and there are 7 VPars that reside(d) on the old 3PAR. 6 have been migrated by simply following the mirroring procedure in the attached document, repointing the setboot -p and rebooting. The 7th VPar is showing the following issue:
vPar "standby_rx8640_vPar_2" failed to load the kernel due to: non-bootable boot media; incorrect vPars software installed; or incorrect boot media EFI path in vPars database.
Try using "vparload -p standby_rx8640_vPar_2 -E 0" to load the vPar.
Error loading "standby_rx8640_vPar_2". Shutting down "standby_rx8640_vPar_2"...
[MON] standby_rx8640_vPar_2 has halted.
At the MON prompt I loaded the VPar and chose the only disk available to boot from, which is on the old 3PAR we wish to migrate from.
Does the message mean anything to anyone?
I'm stumped as to why this one fails but the others succeeded.
Regards
Tariq

Re: VPar not booting after following same procedure on another 6 VPars.
Since there's no attachment, I can't tell what you did or did not do, so here are some questions:
1) What preciese steps did you take?
2) Were all 3 slites created appropriately?
3) Are you sure you made slice 2 bootable (pvcreate -B)?
4) Was everything copied to the EFI partition correctly?
