Attempting to install the Virtual Partition software 3.03 on HPUX 11iv1.
The swinstall session fails as the vPar bundle includes and in dependant on a number of patches included in the bundle. A number of those patches include foreign language filesets and will not install as I do not have nor want the foreign languages on the system.
Is there another non-bundled vPar install hanging out there somewhere ? I would expect that I am going to have to reload the OS with the silly international filesets in order to continue.
Has anyone run into this ? Who would make a bundle that requires every language on the planet earth ???
Thoughts ?

SolutionThere are components of the lanuage bundles that are dependencies and perform shall we say non-lanuage system functionality.
Your best bet is to relent and install the language module. I don't know why my systems need korean language software, but they always had.
(korea is an example picked out of the air).

Re: vPar software install
Talk about frustrating. And then when installing bundles or other patches you end up with even more due to the languages.
I will change my order.
Install OS, all patches and software then cleanup the languages.
arrrrgg.
Thanks Steven !!

Re: vPar software install
This is the only bundle there is.
You could of course make a note of each patch and try to install these separately, but I suspect you will end up having to do as suggested and re-install the languages.

Re: vPar software install
Maybe a note for future release of vPar bundle to not be so tight.
The interesting piece is the patches with the langs would normally partially install without the langs but in this case no.
Appreciate the info.
