The HP Depot site still shows version 2.03 (with support for the PA8800 systems) BUT last June, I got hold of a CD that shows the version to be 3.01 !?
So which is the correct/proper/stable vParsion that I should update to? Our rp8400 is being upgraded to an rp8420. What we have on the systems right now is version 2.02.

SolutionIf you look at the docs at:
http://docs.hp.com/hpux/os/11i/index.html#Virtual%20Partitions
you wil see the manuals for this version.
and checking on software.hp.com specifically
http://software.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=T1335AC
I see 3.01 as th epresent release

Re: vPars - is it version 3.01 or 2.03?
Had I scrolled down some bit more, I should've noticed..
Would you recommend 2.03 or 3.01 for use on the PA8800 systems?

Re: vPars - is it version 3.01 or 2.03?
Or should that be the other way around? :-]
Also, QED or Quite Easily Done ;-]
I would go with version 3, as there are a lot of enhancements and bug fixes.
Be aware of the version requirements on page 15
of http://docs.hp.com/hpux/pdf/T1335-90024.pdf
if yoiu are going to use ICOD or VPARS

Re: vPars - is it version 3.01 or 2.03?
In the Manual: http://docs.hp.com/hpux/onlinedocs/T1335-90027/vparsguide.90027.pdf
3.01 is the first release to support the PA8800 systems, so you will have to go with this version on an rp8420
