vPars on Itanium blade bl870c / 11.31?

Hi all,

is it possible to run HP-UX 11.31 vPar partitions on a Itanium bl870c server blade?

No. vPars runs on cell-based systems only (except L- and N-class systems) - no blades.



Consider to use HP Integrity virtual machines.

umm...thought so. What about the *new* Tukwila blades announced for mit 2010? Will they support vPars? Or are blades out of vPar'ing anyway?

No they ar enot supported

Blades are not supported at all

Current blades support HPVM as virtualization only.
But IMHO the next logical step would be to bring cell-based technology into the blades world - who knows? We will see what the future brings ...
