VxFS and ACL and Trusted Systems
Hi,
Under 10.20 I am led to believe the following is true.
"VxFS does not support the access control lists (ACLs) security nor is it available on a trusted system."
Under 11.0 and JFS 3.3 I am led to believe the following is true.
"ACL security is supported"
What I would like to know is:
1. Are the above statements true?
2. Does 11.0 with JFS 3.3 support Trusted Systems?
The reason is our auditors require several features from Trusted Systems and ACL security. Whereas technically our systems perform better under a Journaled File System.
Your comments and input is most appreciated.

Re: VxFS and ACL and Trusted Systems
JFS 3.3, available for HP-UX 11.x, supports ACL's.
Take a look at:
http://www.software.hp.com/cgi-bin/swdepot_parser.cgi/cgi/displayProductInfo.pl?productNumber=B8861E
or even better:
http://www.docs.hp.com/hpux/onlinedocs/B3929-90007/B3929-90007.html
To my knowledge, it should work fine in a Trusted System .

Re: VxFS and ACL and Trusted Systems
ACL's are supported on HPUX11.0 with vxfs type 4 and online jfs.
the ACL's are not supported on jfs with HPUX 10.20
the ACL's are not supported on jfs with HPUX 10.20
