VXFS options: mincache=direct,convosync=direct

I'm trying to mount FS with these options:

#mount -F vxfs -o largefiles,mincache=direct,convosync=direct
/dev/vg00/lvol11 /mounting

And have received an error:
" vxfs mount: option not supported on this version of vxfs. "

How I could find my version of vxfs and how I can to upgrade to the version, which supported these options?

Regards,Stan

Re: VXFS options: mincache=direct,convosync=direct

Do a swlist. Unless you see OnlineJS listed then those mount options are not available. OnlineJFS is an optional product.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Re: VXFS options: mincache=direct,convosync=direct

Hi:

These options are only available with the "Online" version of JFS.

fstyp -v /dev/vg00/lvol11 should show the version of your vxfs

-USA..

Re: VXFS options: mincache=direct,convosync=direct

Hi (again) Stan:

I should have added that the 'mincache' and 'convosync' options require an OnlineJFS version, while, of course. 'largefiles' does not.

If your underlying filesystem is not largefile-enabled, then, specifying a largefiles system at mount time would be disallowed, however.

Thanks for answers, so the last:

Is there any differences of OnlineJFS versions: 3.1, 3.2, 3.3 ...
Which is the last version and what is
the benefit of using it?

Hey! I replied to this thread - and my post is gone!

fstyp -v /dev/vg00/rlvol11

Yes there is a difference:

And of course version 5:
