vxsvc/isisd on HP-UX 11.11 CPU hog

On my new HP-UX 11.11 system (A500-6X) the
vxsvc (started by /sbin/init.d/isisd) is eating
up both CPU's. I just stopped the process and
didn't notice any problems or disadvantages.
Would anyone like to comment on this? I am
using 7 striped logical volumes and 2 non-striped (/ and /stand cannot be striped).

This is the VxVM Service Manager so something is not working correctly with your disks. Check syslog and VxVM status to make sure you don't have a hardware problem.

Re: vxsvc/isisd on HP-UX 11.11 CPU hog

I got info from HP support in Ratingen that I
only need vxsvc (isisd) if I use VxVM, which I
don't, so I commented out the vxsvc -r lines in
/sbin/init.d/isisd to fix the problem for me.
