VXUPGRADE -n3

VXUPGRADE -n3

On HP-UX 10.20, I entered vxupgrade -n3 /ora and the error showed vxupgrade: cannot open /ora/lost+found/.fsadm. The lost+found directory is not there. What's the problem?

Re: VXUPGRADE -n3

Hi:

'vxupgrade' uses a lock file (.fsadm) in the lost+found directory of the filesystem to insure that only one instance of it runs at a time. You can create the lost+found directory if it isn't there (it should be).

Re: VXUPGRADE -n3

If the lost+found directory isn't there, here's how to create it:

cd into the appropriate directory

execute the command: mklost+found
