VXVM DG in MC/SG
Wehther VXVM can be used in MCSG for shared storage, which can be active on both the nodes at the same time.Or I need CVM itself for this purpose.
Wheteher A normal VXVM DG can active on one node and read only at the second node.

Re: VXVM DG in MC/SG
Concurrent access from 2 nodes or more requires CVM, whether it is read-only or not (and of course if it is a filesystem on top of CVM, then you need CFS as well).

Re: VXVM DG in MC/SG
Cannot be done
both VXVM and LVM are failover data solutions.
Cluster file system with CVM is a concurrent access solution.

Re: VXVM DG in MC/SG
Hi ,
if you want the data to be written on 2 active nodes at same time. as far as i know 2 better options.
1. SFCFS (Storage foundation cluster files system) from Symmantec
2. SG with CFS
anyway for maintaining both vxvm will be used as both are from veritas
