wall corrupts TSM session- alternatives?

When a script issues a wall, those users who are in a TSM session have their
screens corrupted. Is there an alternative notification method for TSM?

Users can run mesg -n before staring TSM. They can check thier message status
using finger .

ex. - Login name: root (messages off)
