WBEM: CIM_ERR_ACCESS_DENIED after changing server IP addresses
Hello,
i recently had to migrate all servers to a new network ... in SIM i deleted the servers with old IPs and rediscovered them with the new IPs.
then i made sure WBEM subscription is active ...
i now get an error clicking on VMHost in the VSE Resources window (WBEM: CIM_ERR_ACCESS_DENIED) ... checking cimserver is running , checking cimauth shows the old server IP still ...
could someone tell me how to rectify this
grazie 1000 in anticipo,
Art

Re: WBEM: CIM_ERR_ACCESS_DENIED after changing server IP addresses
Art,
from the admin guide:
"CIM_ERR_ACCESS_DENIED = Insufficient privileges.
Cause:
This exception is displayed when a user does not have the appropriate privileges to complete an action.
Solution:
See your WBEM administrator to request privileges to complete the operation."
Have you got access to the /etc/resolv conf-file? DNS ?
Please also read:

So far you have not awarded any points !
