Web-based e-mail in 11.00?
I'm looking for a public-domain application that will allow me to provide web-based email for a group of users (possibly a front end for sendmail and an as-yet-to-be-selected SMTP server). I've looked at Cyclonic Webmail, however that requires the ANSI C product ($1600) from HP to compile. Looking for something (hopefully) easier than that to install. Thanks in advance for your time and consideration!

Re: Web-based e-mail in 11.00?
Is there a reason why POP3 is not an alternative ?
You should review QPopper to see if this meets your requirements.

Re: Web-based e-mail in 11.00?
a) Install gcc
b) Install a good SMTP server like Postfix and ditch ol' insecure sendmail
c) Install courier IMAPd
d) on top of that add Horde's IMP or TWIG or Squirrel mail.
e) everything I mentioned is completely free and allows you to host an arbitrary number of email accounts on your server (no need for users to be in /etc/passwd)

Postfix/BIND/Security/IDS/Scanner, you name it...
