web browsers and network cards

just bumping this to the first page in the hopes someone might see it and know what i should do.

i still don't know what netscape uses to tlak to nslookup, but i found a way to fix it. i tried manually looking up netscape, downloading the newest version of netscape 4.xx for my platform, and then removing the old one and installing the new one. it works fine now.

if anyone gets this problem in the future, that's the quick fix (unless someone discovers what file needs to be fixed to get it to talk right, that's probably faster.)
