I'm using a web console on an A180 while trying to do an ignite of the server remotely. Unfortunately, the display is hopelessly garbled like when the terminal is not set correctly and you try to run the character version of SAM.
I've tried both settings of the web console's terminal (vt100 and HP2392) and both produce similar results.
Has anybody had any success with this?
Note this is basically the install UI executing during boot time so there's no way to change the terminal settings on the source system (that I know of).
Thanks,
Eric

Re: Web console display problem
hi:
we have several and they are set to hp, but the version of netscape is 4.6, try and check your version of your browser. You probably already tried reseting the console it self?

Re: Web console display problem
Eric,
Check your firmware rev in the Secure Web Console. I had similar problems with missing characters and scambled displays under version 1.8 of the firmware. I upgraded to the current 1.9 and have had no problems since then.
Here's my version report:
HP Secure Web Console
Global version: A1.9
Software version: A.01.09.001
Boot version: A.01.09.001
Resources version: A.01.09.001
