Web Logic on HP-UX
We have a new project coming up and i have to do some capacity analysis for WEB LOGIC. I need to capture current memory, available hard disk etc and also need to find out reqd hard disk, memory cpu etc...
1. finding current memory (dmesg |grep -i physical)
2. i think bdf will give a fairly current usage of HD and also comparison of lvmtab with ioscan will give the free disks.
assuming this is ok, do anyone know what we need for WEBLOGIC..i mean
1. licenses
2. memory requirement
3. hdd requirement
4. cpu requirement
and also any other information which may be required.
Thanks again
Joe

Re: Web Logic on HP-UX
Hi there.
We run this stuff on a N4000 with four 440 MHz CPUs and 7 GB RAM
At least go for two CPUs and four GB ram.
The licence fee is cpu dependent.
If you read the sheet with the minimum requirements, double the numbers.
The Weblogic server eats resources like popcorn ( similar to Oracle ).
