Web Server Suite PA-RISC Apache 2 gcc vs aCC
Hello,
Why was the version of Apache 2 for PA-RISC in the Web Server Suite built with gcc?
The Itanium version was built with aCC. Why the inconsistancy?
We have an Apache 2 module that we need to build on both Itanium and PA-RISC and would prefer to use the HP compilers for both. We are using HP-UX 11.23 on both PA-RISC and Itanium.
I can build Apache 2 from source using aCC for PA-RISC, I'm curious why the Web Server Suite did not do this as well.
Thanks,
- dan

Re: Web Server Suite PA-RISC Apache 2 gcc vs aCC
How about the HP approved and ported depot versions?

If your question is about why and how HP built these depots, I'm not sure this forums is the right place to get that answer.

Yes, those are the depot versions that I am referring to. Thanks, I'll try submit a support request, but thought the forums would be a good starting point.
