Re: Web Server

Well, I tend to do things the FREE way, so I'd recommend apache (apache.org). Something like 60% of the world's web sites use it, so it can't be all bad....

You can get it in depot form at:

http://hpux.cs.utah.edu/hppd/hpux/Networking/WWW/apache-1.3.14/

Apache admin books are widely available.

Good luck!

Re: Web Server

You will need to get web server software. Like Greg stated...Apache is free.
If I had only read the instructions first??

Re: Web Server

Apache is a very good web server and is very easy to set up. You can generally get the initial set up done and get it working by reading the doc files that come with it. If you want to do anything more advanced with it, then I'd probably recommend getting a book on it from your local book store.

Re: Web Server

Hello,

I setup an apache server with almost 0 knowledge in this area. It was really easy. Try not to change to many items in the httpd.conf file. The basics just do fine for beginners.

Good luck, Steffi
