I want to access HP's Resource center web site
ftp://hprc.externel.hp.com . This site doesn't have anonymous access and need login crednetials. Is there any unique credentials for it and it is given by HP?
We do have support contract with HP
Thanks in Advance

Re: web site
HP gives out login accounts as needed while working with you on individual support cases. You should work through them if you need access for something.

Re: web site
Was those credentials given to you by HP on your request?
Any other such credentials out there to access the resource site?
We want to download the latest tools like kmeminfo, papers etc. from it . If the special login is required for it , then I have to contact HP right?

Re: web site
password : 9unsupp8
is a freely floating info and given out by hp for access to this site. You can access whatever is publicly available using these credentials. Usually, if hp wants you to have access to a special area to exchange information with you about your problem(s) is is when they give you a private login and password and the area you access with these credentials are not visible to the common Joe Blow who comes in with the above credentials. I don't think you want anyone to see what your company is running on their datbases when you are exchanging this info with hp for a problem resolution. Do you ?

Re: web site
We think the better idea would be giving access to resource center ftp site through ITRC website ( http://itrc.hp.com) itself . General public information could be made available to all ITRC logins. However technical papars , tools , best practices and all other information (which requires support contract ) could be made available to ITRC login having support contracts linked.
