webconsole and IE5.5

I have a very strange problem. I have several workstations that we use webconsole on to get to our HP's. I have found that the webconsole works on IE5.0 but not on IE5.5?

Has anyone seen this problem? Please advise?

Re: webconsole and IE5.5

I have seen the same, so I switched to Netscape 4.78. I also have had problems with it not working with netscape 6.1 or for that matter 6.0. The problem appears to be the java code in the webconsole.

I have no idea about the problem but I use IE 5.5 and have no problem using the web console.

Hi Vladimir,

You have to disable the Just-In-Time (JIT) compiler in the IE Internet Options.

Tools -> Internet Options... -> Advanced (tab) -> Microsoft VM (section)
Uncheck the "JIT compiler for virtual machine enabled (requires restart)" box then restart your browser.

Cheers,

Re: webconsole and IE5.5

Do you have the current firmware rev installed on the SWC? The current rev is A.01.09. I have seen this happen when the firmware was really old... To see if you have it up to date, click on the link in the SWC for Version report.
