WebSphere advice/impressions?

We're considering deploying WebSphere in an HPUX 11.11 environment (probably on a 7410 nPar with 2 CPUs). Does anyone have an opinion on this being a good or bad idea or any issues we should be aware of? I've heard that it has a reputation for being a resource hog.

I would consider BEA, if that is an option.
