Re: what can i do?

hi,
The '/oracle/archdest' is full,no any free space to use.You must clean some unuse files,or you can enlarge the /dev/vg00/lvol11.I suggest you chose the first!

Re: what can i do?

Hi Lesni,

Now there are two issues.

1. Do you use Legato Storage Manager for your backups.

If the answer is no then the warning message that you are getting is the result of your Oracle 8i installation, where LSM will try to initiate backups.

For this you need to shut down the legato networker. The steps below will solve the problem as they shutdown the networker, and the system will no longer be waiting for the tapes necessary to do a backup.

As root, shutdown LSM by issuing this command:

# nsr_shutdown
Remve it from the system startup sequence. So renaming these from S & K (caps) to lower case s & k will prevent them from running at startup
cd /sbin/init.d/rc2.d
mv S900networker s900networker

cd ../rc0.d
mv K200networker k200networker

2. Now the second issue is you archive destination is full. You do not have any free space, for the archive logs. If you have disk space else ware you can move the older logs to that disk space or backup them up on a tape. Then remove all the older logs, to create some free space.

I hope this helps

Re: what can i do?

Hi lesni ,
It would be better if you(We) give "Subject" more specifically ...
Like "Disk Space Full ?"
Experts in that domain may look in to your post ...
(Try to convey the gist of your Question in
the subject itself )

That will draw more attention than "What can I do ?"
Most of them won't look into some thread which is not interesting enough ...

Ofcourse everything posted here ( except those congratulatory messages and Etiquettes ) mean that the author is in need of some help...
This is just a suggestion...

Have a nice day ....

Ram.
