when I restart the server (HP9000-d270-HPUX10.20), a process called basicdsd uses 99% from one processor for two hours or more. I have a problem...?

basicdsd is a daemon from HPDPS Logical printer object.
You should install the patches:
PHCO_21853 s700_800 10.20 HPDPS cumulative patch
PHSS_17545 s700_800 10.x cumulative pxdb patch
PHCO_18779 s700_800 10.20 lpspool subsystem cumulative patch
Maybe this solves your problem since they mencion some problems relating basicdsd.
here you have a book for HPDPS: http://www.docs.hp.com/cgi-bin/fsearch/framedisplay?top=/hpux/onlinedocs/B2355-90113/B2355-90113_top.html&con=/hpux/onlinedocs/B2355-90113/00/00/7-con.html&toc=/hpux/onlinedocs/B2355-90113/00/00/7-toc.html&searchterms=hpdps&queryid=20010524-081042
maybe you should stop and start your HPDPS
boa sorte.
