what is 'multi-process ftp server & client'?

Does HP-UX support 'multi-process ftp server & client'?
Or Should I install third-part software for it?

Thanks.

Yes, HP-UX supports multi process ftp server and client. If you want, you can install ProFTPD from HP-Internet Express, http://h20293.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=HPUXIEXP1111

Does 'run as a stand-alone server' mean support 'multi-process ftp server'?
I found ftpd can fork many sub-processes to transfer a big file.

But, is there 'multi-process/multi-thread ftp client' in HP-UX like FlashGet?

Thanks.

I dont think you can get a client like "Flashget" in Windows for HP-UX. You can check in Porting center

Good question - is that supposed to be something that spawns multiple processes, or threads to transfer a _single_ file? That sounds more like a kludge to deal with small TCP windows than anything else :)
