Hi Prasad,

PV :- Physical Volume, It refers to hard disks connected to your system.

VG :- Volume Group which comprises of a many volumes.

PV - Physical volume. connectivity to physical disk(s)

VG - Volume group. A set of logical volumes to share the shared disk space.
