What is Service Guard for HP UX ?
We are using LVM ver 1 on HP UX 11.0. What is purpose of Service Guard ? Where we have use it.

You use serviceguard where you want to be able to failover applications from one server to another.

To avoid (SPOF) single point of failure if your buisness Application very critical and you d'not offered to have down time.
Example:-
Hardware failure,Network failure,Disk failure,
