What is .snapshot ?

Hell,

The auto backup snapshot is running on the HP-UX b.11.11 .

It creates .snapshot directory with nightly.0, nightly.1 and weekly.0 directories that contained back files from the specific user it is running on.

Who is responsible for this process? (is it a process at all?)

How can I create such backup on other HP-UX machines? and how can I controlled it?

I believe these come from Netapp.

(The reason I remembered is that I needed to learn about "find -prune" or it would take forever to do a find.)
