what is the different sun jdk and hp jdk?

I'm porting application from sun-solaris to hp-ux.

Are there any differences jdk from sun and jdk from hp?

because if there is any differences I have to recompile my application.

because of the different chip-set and different ported version of jdk, you'll have to re-compile anyway.

In general, you can move the byte-code from sun environment to hpux environment. assuming sun jdk release is same as hpux jdk release.

I agree, you should java compile you source code.

You may have to recompile it since a hardware change,jdk also has got some difference.Visit sun website and check for it.
