Somebody asked me a question which i am unable to give a clear answer.

What is the biggest size of a file which can be created on a filesystem. verion of HP-UX is 11.11.

Version - 11.0
Hardware System - HP 9000
Series - C series

Solution

The largest supported file system and logical volume is 128 gigabytes.
It may actually be larger, but that is the largest size that has been
tested by the lab and approved for support.

The limit assuming largefiles is enabled is now in the TB range. Off the top of my head, it's either 2 or 4TB. I have tested files upto 1TB personally.

fsadm -o largefiles
