What's the difference between Sanjay & me?

Hi All,

First of all, thanks for Sanjay's help, because he provided a useful problem-fix link named 'How to update db.cache' for my previous question 'BIND: where can I get the db.cache file? '.

But I had searched 'db.cache' in the ITRC with marking the 'Technical Documents', just found nothing.

What's the difference between Sanjay & me? Just because he's a 'Royalty', while I am ##%%?

Without knowing specifically what search you were doing, I'm guessing but parts of the Knowledge Base are only accessible if you are under an HP Maintenance Agreement. It's part of the reasons we pay those big dollars each year.

The other possible answer is that you didn't quite search on the same keys.

The knowledge base is open to all, the patch base is not.

Must have been how you performed the search as not all words are indexed keywords.

Then of course, the search may not have been working at the time you did it, as happens sometimes.

Try using the Support -> Search function, it seems more thorough than the ITRC one :-)

There seems to be a problem with the forums search engine. I know Dan and HP are aware of it and are working on it. I'm sure it's a pretty big task to maintain these forums and I appreciate the work they are doing.

In the meantime, try searching from http://search.hp.com
I'm having much more success from there.

Hi Discoverer,

I don't think hp is giving any special consideration to royalty. To the forum, there is no difference between you and me. Here both you and me are at the same level, so don't worry about all that royalty stuff.

About me finding something on itrc and you not being able to do so, it is just a matter of chance. When you do a search, you try to be imaginative. The search returns you with only 50 hits though there may be more, so you have to keep looking.

So don't hold any griveances against me. Have a drink on me.
