what speed with link?

We Have V2500(HP-UX B.11.00) with PCI lnacards.

I quered link status as follows.

# lanadmin -x 1
Current Speed = 100000000 Full-Duplex

What's happening?

Re: what speed with link?

There is nothing wrong -

100 000 000 = 100Mbps
nothing wrong with me that a few lines of code cannot fix!

Re: what speed with link?

Kofi is correct. Different cards respond to the lanadmin request in different ways. Some will nicely parse "100FD" for you, others make you count zeros.

Re: what speed with link?

We have another server whitch has same
lan card.

That server replies as follows.

#lanadmin -x 1
Current Speed = 100 Full-Duplex

What's different between these two servers?

See the atached, more inform.

Re: what speed with link?

It could be a patch or driver difference. I seem to recall seeing at one point a patch for lanadmin that dealt with that problem. It could also be related to the version of the driver for that lan card. If they are different, then that could also be a problem.

Re: what speed with link?

You may want to check this patch and see if it is instlled on either of your systems. It sounds like it may be on one, but not the other. It is patch PHNE_20442
