Hi,
I am getting this error as below when i run the fcmsutil /dev/td1
Vendor ID is = 0x00103c
Device ID is = 0x001028
TL Chip Revision No is = 2.3
PCI Sub-system Vendor ID is = 0x00103c
PCI Sub-system ID is = 0x000006
Previous Topology = PRIVATE_LOOP
Local N_Port_id is = 0x000001
Local Loop_id is = 125
N_Port Node World Wide Name = 0x50060b000007fe57
N_Port Port World Wide Name = 0x50060b000007fe56
Driver state = AWAITING_LINK_UP
Hardware Path is = 0/10/0/0
Number of Assisted IOs = 546382
Number of Active Login Sessions = 0
Dino Present on Card = NO
Maximum Frame Size = 960
I ask the onsite engineer to look for the fibre cable and he says it looks ok.
Please let me know what could be the reason the card is not showing online. As this server is production.
Thanks,
Narendra

Re: when running the fcmsutil i am getting error AWAITING_LINK_UP
Well, anyway, the link is down :
- Bad cable
- Cable not correctly attached
- Bad connectors (server card or SAN switch)
What is the SAN-switch telling you for this connection ? Are all lights on the FC-connectors green ?
