Where do I go to set up a default printer?

For setting a default printer (-d option),

# lpadmin -dprinter_name

see man pages of lpadmin

Hi:

You can do it from SAM but all you really need to do is 'lpadmin -dmyprinter'. Man lpadmin for details.

You can also use SAM which should attempt to open jetadmin.

Or use SAM

1) If not already done, create the printer
2) Start sam
3) Goto Printers and Plotters
4) Goto LP Spooler
5) Goto Printers and Plotters
6) Highlight the printer that will become the default
7) Goto Actions -> Set as System Default Destination
