Where to download source code of frequently-used unix commands?

Anybody knows where I can download the source code of
those frequently-used UNIX commands like ls,mkdir,syslogd,etc. ?

The source code for HPUX version of these commands would be considered "HP
Proprietary information".

Try a Linux web site maybe?
