Which language to choose on install?
35) PS2_DIN_ITF_US_English
61) PS2_DIN_US_English
Can anyone tell me what the difference between these two selections is?
Thanks
Ed

Re: Which language to choose on install?
To be pedantic there is no such thing as US - English ;-) but this thread may help.

Re: Which language to choose on install?
I may be wrong, but this look to me to be more like keyboard configuration with PS2 connection type keyboard... I would say 35 would be for win95 extented (3 more keys..)keyboard...
But I never went through this, I suppose its a series 700 then? (I only installedhpux11 on 800 till now..)
Just thoughts
Best regards
Victor

I have always used option 61 when installing and I haven't had any problems. I would choose this.
Paula - I am holding back some comebacks for your statement that there is no such thing as 'US English'. I'll be nice today. ;)

Re: Which language to choose on install?
I think I'm late but if You choosed a wrong one You can modify it, just edit /etc/kbdlang file. ( After this I suggest a reboot )

Re: Which language to choose on install?
This is what I found on a page related to "XEmacs on HP-UX":
---QUOTE
There are also two types of keyboard layouts: ITF and PS/2. Again, ITF is HP's proprietary (but superior) layout, and PS/2 is the layout known from PCs. You can recognize an ITF keyboard by the Menu and User/System keys between the F4 and F5 keys (non-US versions have localized labels). Three combinations are actually relevant: ITF HIL, PS/2 HIL, and PS/2 DIN.
