Which version of Integroty VM software?

Hello - It has been a few years since we have done any patches or maintenance on our HPUX servers.  They are rx3600 class machines, running hpux 11.23 and Integrity Virtual machine software.  We now need to upgrade to Oracle 11Gr2 so we must be on hpux 11.31.

Is it possible to upgrade the Integrity VM software to support an 11.31 guest without actually upgrading the physical host to 11.31?  We are on an older release , A.02 of the Integrity VM software.  Does anyone know which minimum release of Integrity VM we need to support 11.31 guests?

It looks like all of the recent versions of IVM, version 4.2 which is the earliest on the doc site, require HP-UX 11.31 as the VM host.

The only currently supported HPVM release which still supports 11.23 host is V3.5.

It supports 11.31 guests, but note that the support is limited to rather old OE versions (11.31.0703-11.31.0809).

I'd recommend to update to 11.31 and one of the latest HPVM versions (V6.1.5 support 11.23 guests, or V4.3).
