Who can give me some resource about memory window on HP-UX 11iv1?

Legato DiskXtender 2.9 is installed on our HP-UX Server. But it is 32 bits version. Legato engineers advise we run it on memory window of HP-UX. Where can we find the information about memory window?

Hi,

If you are running 11.0 there's a good whitepaper named mem_wndws.txt in /usr/share/doc - unfortunately it's not included in 11.11
Also you can check the following man pages
setmemwindow
getmemwindow
services.window

All the docs are on 11.00. Are there any docs for 11.11?

Use of memory windows does not affect the performance of processes. There is no size requirement associated with memory windows. Any machine running HP-UX (32-bit or 64-bit) and any hardware supporting HP-UX release 11i can use memory windows.
