who is owner and group of /home

We have one L1000 and the owner and group of /home is incorrect. An ll | grep '^d' from root shows that most default directories are root:sys or bin:bin. /home must have been accidently set at some point. We've had no problems, and no user has access to a command prompt, so I know it wasn't malicious. Since we have only one system I don't have a second system to checkout. Thanks.

For /home there is really no "correct" ownershipalthough typical is root:root or root:sys. Normally, only root should be able to add directories to /home but, naturally, the users directories under /home should be owned by that user with group set to their primary group.

I think the normal should be root:root and permission rwxr-xr-x. What is your /home set to?

I also have /home set to root:root with permissions as 755
