Re: who knows .. ?

hello,

if you are looking for some online books/docs about memeory management, then check in www.docs.hp.com.

This is one of them:
http://www.docs.hp.com/hpux/onlinedocs/5965-4641/5965-4641.html

gl,
learn unix ..

Re: who knows .. ?

Hi Marcos,
A really good book that covers memory and processes would be "HP-UX Tuning and Performance" by Robert F Sauers and Peter S Weygant. You can find more info on this at http://www.hp.com/hpbooks/prentice/ptr_0131027166.html

Hope this helps,

Hi Marcos,

you could tstart with the "classical" books about AT&T UNIX System V Rel.3, and BSD UNIX 4.2/4.3, from Maurice Bach, and Mike Leffler/Kirk McKusick et al, resp.

Re: who knows .. ?

Probably the most useful documents are the white papers found in /usr/share/doc. The memory management and process management papers. They are found in all 10.xx and 11.0 versions of HP-UX but sadly, they were removed in 11i. You'll have to search docs.hp.com to find them there.
