You just seems to be started LDAP server, that is directory server.
This server will listen on port 389, standard port for LDAP. This will be used to just store user and password information.
But, u didn't seems to be started messaging server. If you post the configurations and other setups, it will be good. what are you trying to do?
If you are facing some problems in logging in to port 389, check your logs and post it.
