Posting because I'm having search problems
here & at Goooogle
Presumably C3000 is a workstation?
What CPU's does it use?
[Type, speed(s)]
Will 10.20 run on it?
[yes I know]
Regards - Mike
BTW: Links are no use to me at the moment -
Bandwidth is very poor in this part of Worcestershire today

SolutionI was going to refer you to this link,
http://www.hp.com/cgi-bin/pf-new.cgi?IN=/workstations/risc/standard/operating/support_matrix/update.html
but, since you don't want links, I'll just paraphrase.
The C3000 workstation uses the PA8500 CPU chip which can be either 360MHz or 440MHz and will run "recent" 10.20 versions (ACE 9906 or ACE 9912).

Re: Will 10.20 work?
""We have a C3000
When I tried to rebuild it I could not install 10.20 which we have on CD from a few years ago
I think I need 10.20 with all patches
Can you supply"
I hope this question isn't too silly, but...
Do you think I should suggest he gets HP-UX 11.0?
[Will he be able to rebuild with that?]

Re: Will 10.20 work?
Yes, I have downtime. I even have a life of sorts, but choose to spend most of it guzzling beer!
Yes, the C3000 will be just fine with 11.0 or 11i in 64 bit mode.

Re: Will 10.20 work?
go to 11i as it will be a longer life OS than 11.0
unless you just want to make more work for yourself by updraging OS's in the future
